Our Story

Named after the pioneering scientist Rosalind Franklin, Rosalind Genetics was founded on the belief that every Australian deserves access to world-class genetic care. Unfortunately, the current system can’t keep up – patients wait months or even years to be seen in public genetics clinics, while GPs and specialists struggle to navigate an ever-expanding landscape of tests and guidelines.

Rosalind Genetics is here to change that. We provide streamlined, expert-led genetic services that integrate seamlessly with existing healthcare systems, ensuring both patients and medical professionals can make informed, confident decisions about genetic health. Our approach prioritises accessibility, evidence-based practices, and collaboration with the broader medical community to enhance patient outcomes.

Rosalind Franklin

Rosalind Franklin (1920–1958) was a British scientist whose meticulous X-ray crystallography work was instrumental in unveiling the structure of DNA. Her research, which formed the basis for one of the greatest scientific discoveries of the 20th century, has had a lasting impact on modern medicine, from genetic testing to personalized treatments. Despite her vital contributions, Franklin was often overlooked during her lifetime, making her a symbol of resilience and dedication to advancing science.

At Rosalind Genetics, we honour Franklin’s legacy of discovery and determination by challenging the status quo in genetic healthcare and advocating for equity and innovation.
